The Career Opportunity
RoBIM is seeking to hire a highly skilled BIM Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will specialize in Autodesk Revit and have experience in developing custom plugins that enhance our design and simulation capabilities. This role involves creating an Autodesk Revit plugin that can generate complex designs based on pre-defined parameters and seamlessly integrate these designs with the backend of our advanced robotic simulator software.
Reporting to the Vice President – Software, the BIM Software Engineer will be responsible for:

Design, develop, and maintain an Autodesk Revit plugin that generates BIM models based on specific input parameters.

Design, develop, and maintain an Autodesk Revit plugin that generates BIM models based on specific input parameters.

Ensure the plugin can upload BIM data directly to the backend systems of our robotic simulation platforms.

Work collaboratively with the software development team to integrate advanced design functionalities into our existing systems.

Conduct regular testing and updates to ensure compatibility with the latest versions of Autodesk Revit and other relevant software.

Provide technical support and documentation for end-users of the plugin.

Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in BIM and plugin development to continuously improve our solutions.

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
The Specifics
Technical Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in software development with a focus on Autodesk Revit and BIM technologies.

Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, or other relevant languages used in Autodesk API development.

Experience with RESTful APIs and backend systems integration.

Familiarity with 3D modeling, computational design, and architectural principles.
Preferred Skills

Experience in construction component prefabrication or robotics prefabrication projects.

Experience with robotic simulation software or systems.

Previous work on cloud-based platforms and services.
