What we do

End-to-end robotic solution for the construction industry

RoBIM Technologies Inc. is a Canadian early-stage venture at the intersection of construction and robotics.

RoBIM offers an end-to-end robotic solution to fabricate construction components on or near building sites and is at the leading edge of innovation in the construction sector. The company is focused on solving the problem of labour availability in the construction industry and improving productivity by reducing costs and shortening schedules through the use of robotics and automation.

RoBIM is developing a seamless solution that allows designers and engineers to upload a design into software that virtually simulates and optimizes a robotic fabrication process. This software then automatically generates robotic programming codes and components are fabricated at RoBIM’s production facility.

Our long-term vision is to bring multifunctional robotic fabrication modules to or near construction sites to lower fixed and capital costs and improve logistics and scheduling.

RoBIM is based in Edmonton, Alberta and pursuing global markets. It was founded by an experienced multidisciplinary and international team and is now scaling its operations from technology development to business operations.

How we hire

RoBIM’s recruitment process is focused on the whole person, not just their experience. We evaluate skills and how candidates would fit into our fast-changing environment as we want to make sure we maintain positive energy and productivity within our entire company.

We have a four-stage hiring process which includes your application, an initial discovery call, detailed interviews (either in-person or online) and coming to an agreement.

01

Apply

Search for a position that matches your skill set and submit your application online.

Alternatively, if you think you'd be a great fit for RoBIM but you can't see a suitable position, please submit a speculative application.  In addition to full-time roles, we also hire interns and contract positions and we'll bear you in mind for future opportunities.

02

Discovery Call

You will speak with a member of our team, either by phone or video call.

This will be an opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the job and the team and we will discuss your experience and your motivation for working at RoBIM.

You'll receive feedback within two weeks and, if there is a match, we'll keep you posted about next steps (as they could differ depending on the role).

03

Detailed Interview

You will have the chance to meet a senior team member, and potentially others through a series of video calls or in-person interviews.

While you will be able to get a better understanding of our company culture, these will primarily be competency-based interviews where we'll ask you questions about real-life scenarios that you have dealt with along with your experience and technical skills.

04

Make an Agreement

If you are as excited about us as we are about you, we will come to an agreement regarding your role and opportunity within RoBIM.  The moment you sign the contract, you become part of the RoBIM family and together we will make a positive impact on the future of construction and robotics.
